SM Is Playing YG Card On AESPA?

SM is Playing YG Card On AESPA? ÆSPA's and BLACKPINK's Concepts are “way too similar ÆSPA is copying BLACKPINK. Black Mamba And Boombayah Sounded The Same!!!

They are set to have a full album comeback on 30th September. That makes 2 songs + 1 Full album in one year. I don't whether they do consistent vlives. They have appeared on various variety shows too. So it's too sudden to say that SM is playing a YG card on AESPA. I don't see Lee Soo Man the type to go behind that since he is of the type to overwork his popular idols a lot. Aespa is steadily growing so the chances are SMEs would want to promote them as much as they can.
They are talented, very much. But SM Is Playing YG Card On Aespa. Not saying that Aespa is the next Blackpink or trying to copy Blackpink or anything like that. This is how they are treated as a group.

They will end up like Blackpink, hated for having no talent because people won't be able to see their talent through the songs they perform. But I guess worse, Yg is known for making the kind of music that Blackpink makes girls fall in love with.

And SM is not YG Their artists are great when it comes to vocals but instead of trying to focus on that in their songs all they try to do is make them sound attractive or please people. And maybe it will benefit them the same way that catchy music did to Blackpink, but their getting so much hate could also be true for Aespa in the future.

ÆSPA's and BLACKPINK's Concepts are “way too similar

People have said that the concept of ÆSPA and BLACKPINK is "too similar" (I believe this "topic" started on Twitter and then spread to other platforms). Honestly, I don't understand what they mean. This is the kpop industry, bands can have similar concepts because it's just what they like best or the concepts they have the most mastery of, etc. But the thing is, AESPA and BLACKPINK don't even have too many similarities in their concept.

Let's analyze their concepts a bit. BLACKPINK's concept: girl crush, girls which are lovesick, bad b sort of vibe; Black stands for their more mature, girl crush side and Pink stands for the more fun side. Like KTL, HYLT, LOVESICK GRILS, and on the other side we have ICE CREAM.

ÆSPA ideas: experimental themes, ideas about love for girls. I also noticed that their MVs have a spatial vibe that matches their entire experimental theme. Please enlighten me if I'm wrong, but I don't see the slightest similarity in their concepts. If you watch their respective MVs and listen to the songs, you can see how completely different the context and choice of.

As I said BLACKPINK has a more mature, classy, and dark theme as well as a wilder aura in their MVs, while AESPA has more neon colors, chaos with different props, spaceships flying around, etc.

ÆSPA is copying BLACKPINK.

Another argument made is how ÆSPA copied BLACKPINK because they did the concept of crushing girls. IMO, BLACKPINK didn't invent the girl crush concept. Yes, it became more popular when they started doing it, but that doesn't mean they own the whole concept.

I have nothing against Blackpink but we really should do more research and respect the 1st and 2nd generation kpop who made a lot of girl crush concept songs. Special SM has F(x). F(x) is the epitome of a girl crush and they debuted in 2009. They were also famous for their different outfits, although, at that time in K-pop, idols usually wore costumes. the same stage. F(x) has performed a lot of EDM songs and they are absolutely edgy and interesting. F(x) is not as large as blackpink but is the senior group of Aespa.

It's a bit different from blackpink because blackpink already has a strong and long-standing fandom. because the fans were there, it was easy to split the content and publish it bit by bit. the number of fans won't fluctuate too much in one direction this way.
Aespa, on the other hand, is still a rookie. their fandom isn’t as huge or established. their marketing strategy at this point is just making people lose interest because their original fandom isn’t already prominent. this most likely will backfire (eventually), and they’ll have to change it up. it doesn’t help that people use this as just another excuse to say that “they’re copying blackpink!
In short, no, ÆSPA doesn't copy BLACKPINK, and it's really sad that some people think so. They have to stop saying such things because the girls didn't spend years practicing hard just to get started and be compared to other groups.

Black Mamba And Boombayah Sounded The Same!!!

Yes, they have the same genre: kpop, EDM, electropop. Also, But Is Black Mamba And Boombayah Sounded The Same? The only thing that can be the same is "Yah yah yah yah yah" from Boombayah and Black Mamba "ayayayayaya". But it's actually a very common term to use, and the two sound different.

The beat drops are not the same, the mix is also different. Boombayah has a bit of hip-hop in it, which Black Mamba doesn't claim doesn't even have a line of rap in it. Absolutely no similarity. Black Mamba tells a fictional story from the SMCU Metaverse, while Boombayah tells about strong, confident girls who love but are not afraid.

 My OPINION

You see Blackpink became popular for various reasons and one of the most important ones is their music - it’s unique it’s addicting and somewhat different than others and being unique from others made them popular. every girl group for that matter wants to reach great heights and since currently, blackpink is at the top probably they are their idols or role models.

The only reason I believe that Aespa and Itzy are slightly copying Blackpink is that they want to be more popular internationally and in western countries.
Let me know what you guys thoughts?
