- My writing was always a release, an escape for me, in a sense. I just wanted to get the stories or my thoughts out onto the pages. I started to handwrite everything, and still have a lot of notebooks filled with my writing. I still do. I don't know how much I try to write from these smart things. My heart still belongs to pen and paper. I write first and foremost for myself. It's an extension of my thoughts in my head. Writing for me is a very fluid process. Sometimes I have no idea what I am writing until it falls out of my head onto pages. Stream of conscious writing is great when I get a brand new idea. Well, that usually happens at 2 or 3 in the morning though. Other times, I always have something going on in my head as long as I enjoy it.
